Romanian industrial production remains stable in August

Romania’s industrial production was unchanged in August, data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS) showed on Wednesday.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, industrial production was unchanged month over month in August.

Manufacturing output rose 0.1% per month in August.

Electricity fell 3.5% and production in mines and quarries fell 2.6%. On an annual basis, industrial production rose 0.5% adjusted for working days in August.

On an unadjusted basis, industrial production fell 9.9% per month in August and rose 3.0% from a year ago, the Bucharest-based agency said.
