Latvia’s industrial production down in August



Latvia’s industrial production fell in August, data from the Riga-based Central Bureau of Statistics (CSB) showed on Monday. Industrial production fell 2% month-on-month in August.

On an annual basis, industrial production increased 3.7% in calendar terms in August. Manufacturing output grew 7.9% per year in August and 0.6% from the previous month.

The production of mines and quarries increased by 13.7% per year, while those of the supply of electricity and gas fell by 31.3%.
